That means that bids, including maximum bids, shall be accepted online before the live auction. The online pre-bidding shall halt at 12:01 a.m. on the day of the live auction. The online pre-bids determine the starting bids for each lot at the live auction. When an item has a pre-bid, the auctioneer shall announce to the live bidders the amount of the currently winning pre-bid. He shall then ask for an additional live bid. If no additional live bids are made, then the online bidder shall win that item. Also, if the online bidder has placed a maximum bid, the auctioneer shall place bids for the online bidder by proxy in an amount necessary to become the high bidder. If no live bidder increases the proxy bid, then the online bidder shall win the item. In case of a tie, the online bidder shall win unless the live bidder is willing to increase his bid by $5.00. Online bidders who win an item shall receive an invoice by e-mail after the auction on June 1. Losing pre-bidders shall not receive an invoice. Unless other arrangements are made with AAA Auction, if the winning pre-bidder does not pick up his purchase at the scheduled time, his credit card shall be billed for the purchase according to the auction terms and he or she shall authorize AAA Auction to resell his or her item(s) at our next available auction at a commission rate of 35% plus a buyer's premium.
